She was making the trip to shoot the HBO film <\/span><i>The No 1 Ladies&#8217; Detective Agency<\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The role had required her to put on a little extra weight, but when she found out that she had put on more than the little extra needed in just seven days, Jill Scott knew something was not right and decided to check herself out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She ran several tests, including a pregnancy test, and found out she was pregnant. By that time, she was already in a committed relationship with Jett&#8217;s father. Jill Scott recounted the challenges experienced during the first trimester of the pregnancy, which included the 7-hour time difference, 14-hour work days, and the bug-infested environment she was forced to work in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She managed to scale through it all without any lingering problems and eventually made her way home to the United States. Jett Hamilton Roberts was born five days earlier than planned because the doctors had given Jill a due date of April 25, only for Jett to be born on Monday, April 20.
