When his daughter was a teenager, she went to live with him and his new wife (Amanda Miguel).<\/p>\n<p>Several reports, however, insinuated that she and her stepmother did not get along at all. Their relationship was deemed so terrible that her father opted to send her to Switzerland to complete her high school education and then to the United States to get her college degree.<\/p>\n<p>Maria ended up studying an art-related subject in school as she had grown up with a strong passion for painting and drawing. According to Mar\u00eda herself, she knew exactly what she was going to study.
