The Gambino family totaled half a billion dollars in income each year and he got from $10 to $12 million per annum. He became quite rich and his family lived accordingly. Victoria and the kids moved into an impressive two-story house on Howard Beach New York. They lived a life of luxury and lacked nothing. All this was out of the spotlight though.<\/p>\n<p>While her husband loved the media attention and courted it with his fancy clothes and fast life, Victoria was the textbook mob boss wife who stayed out of the spotlight and focused on the family. She was quite happy to live in private and enjoyed her family life for several years. Such a caring treatment ensured that she was loyal to him throughout the years that they were married. Even though she had an inkling of his illegitimate ways, she stuck by his side as he successfully defended himself in several criminal trials over the years.<\/p>\n<p>The net eventually closed in on John Gotti when he was charged with five murders, conspiracy to commit murder, and a host of other crimes in 1992. He was successfully tried and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this conviction, Victoria DiGiorgio stayed faithful to her marriage vows. She regularly visited her husband in prison and never contemplated divorce. The only time that she had issues with her husband was when she discovered that their son, John Jr., had also joined the mob life in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>She was very furious with her husband as she never wanted any of their kids to enter that kind of lifestyle. She regarded it as the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2005\/08\/30\/dumping-the-dapper-don-wife-i-left-gotti-over-mob-son\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worst kind of betrayal<\/a> and therefore separated from her husband for two years. From 1998 to 2000, she never visited him in jail. She also refused to pick up his calls.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria DiGiorgio later had a change of heart after her husband became critically ill with throat cancer in 2000. She visited him in prison as much as the rules will allow and during this visit, he gave her assurance that he would get their son set free from the entanglements of the mob.<\/p>\n<p>This pleased her greatly and ultimately saved their marriage. She criticized the prison authorities for the way they treated her husband\u2019s health issues, as well as the leakage of several unflattering photos of him.<\/p>\n<p>She also supported her son, John Jr, all throughout his racketeering trial from 2004 to 2009. She was in court everyday and in the end, they got the victory as her son walked free. Since that trial, Victoria DiGiorgio has mostly stayed out of the spotlight. Her father later grew rich from his mob life and this led to a change in their fortunes. She was able to attain a reasonable level of education. Angel Gotti is all grown up now and has a son named Frank Albano with her late husband, Louis Albano.<\/p>\n<p>Angel has avoided going down the same path as her father but she is dedicated to protecting and preserving his legacy. She is active on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube and uses them to promote her father\u2019s genuine biographies and documentaries. She also battles anybody that wants to spread false stories about her father. Angel Gotti\u2019s actions have put her in conflict with mobsters from other crime families.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, in early 2022 she went up against a mobster named Gene Borrello. Borrello comes from the Bonanno crime family and had waged a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/12\/john-gottis-daughter-grandson-in-10-million-mob-cyber-spat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cyberwar<\/a> against Angel and her son, describing them as drug addicts. He also referred to the entire Gotti family as rats. Victoria was born on the 27th of November 1962 in New York. She grew up in New York and completed her education there. Victoria Gotti commenced her career as a writer, penning columns for the <em>New York Post<\/em> and other publications. She also has several books to her credit, including a memoir, <em>This Family of Mine: What It Was Like Growing Up Gotti.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Victoria Gotti is also a reality TV star, debuting the show, <em>Growing Up Gotti<\/em>, in 2004. The show focused on her life, as well as that of her three children. Asides from <em>Growing Up Gotti<\/em>, Victoria Gotti has appeared in other shows such as <em>Celebrity Apprentice, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, <\/em>and<em> Mob Wives.<\/em> She is also the executive producer of the 2019 documentary film, <em>Victoria Gotti: My Father\u2019s Daughter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Victoria Gotti has never had anything to do with mob activities but she previously married a member of the Gambino crime family. His name is Carmine Agnello and they wed in 1984 against her parents\u2019 wishes. They welcomed three sons, Carmine, John, and Frank before their divorce in 2004. He attended the New York Military Academy and upon graduating, attempted to make a living through legal means, including a trucking business. This did not work out as planned and by 1988, he joined the Gambino crime family. He was about 24 years at the time and with his father\u2019s help, he quickly rose to become a capo at the age of 26.<\/p>\n<p>By 1992, 28-year old John Jr. became the acting head of the Gambino crime family when his father was imprisoned. He held this position until 1999 and tried to do his best in the role. Many in the Gambino crime family however felt that he didn\u2019t perform as well as his dad. John Jr. was charged with racketeering in 1999 and for the next ten years, the state brought more racketeering charges against him. He however escaped due to a mistrial. John Gotti Jr. has been free of prosecution since 2010 and is focusing on his family.
