Prior to becoming a CEO of her company, Jillian Mele worked for 6ABC Action News in Philadelphia, she also previously anchored and reported for Fox News. Her four-year run at Fox saw her serve as a co-host of one of their signature shows, Fox and Friends First<\/em>, which made her popular.<\/p>\n

She also got to rub shoulders with members of the Trump White House with then then-president retweeting some of her reports. Mele however suffered some mistakes in her reportage while some people criticized her for working for Fox News. All this may have eventually factored into her decision to leave in October 2021.<\/p>\n

Jillian Mele Joined Fox News in March 2017<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After years of paying her dues on local television, Jillian Mele joined the big leagues in March 2017 when she was offered a position at Fox News. She initially joined them as a news reporter for their flagship morning show, Fox and Friends<\/em>. She was then promoted to co-anchor for another notable show, Fox and Friends First<\/em>, some months later. During her time at Fox News, Jillian covered the tragic Las Vegas shooting<\/a> of 2017, as well as hurricanes Irma and Dorian.<\/p>\n

She also extensively covered the 2020 presidential election, the covid-19 pandemic as well as its impact on small businesses in America. Beyond her reportage, Jillian Mele\u2019s work on Fox and Friends<\/em> also put her in close connection with the Trump White House. The former president retweeted<\/a> her report about ISIS claiming responsibility for a deadly siege in Australia in June 2017. She also got to visit the White House and took pictures with Ivanka Trump.<\/p>\n

What Happened To Jillian Mele on Fox News?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jillian Mele also suffered some controversies during her time on Fox News. For instance, she made an error in a report about former FBI director, James Comey in June 2017. She later clarified the mistakes but the erroneous report had already been retweeted<\/a> by President Trump. Another embarrassing situation came in July 2018 when Jillian Mele and her co-host set out to interview congresswoman, Ann Kirkpatrick, who was partial to Trump’s immigration policy.<\/p>\n

They however ended up interviewing liberal state senator, Barbara L\u2019Italien and the senator used the opportunity to share critical views about Trump\u2019s immigration policy before they cut her off. Jillian Mele also faced online criticism for joining the conservative Fox News. She refused to be cowed though and maintained that she had a right to choose whom to work for.<\/p>\n
