Diamonte Quiava Harper, professionally known as Saweetie, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. After breaking grounds in 2017<\/a> with her debut single, she has rapidly risen to fame and has subsequently captured the attention of those within and outside the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

Being one of the few females in a male-dominated field of music as a rapper, she has piqued the public’s attention. Her career as a rapper has built a lot of fans and followers for her over the years. Her consistency and good music have made people from different walks of life interested in who she is, her parents, and how she rose to fame.<\/p>\n

Saweetie Was Born in Santa Clara, California, 30 Years Ago<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Saweetie was born on July 2, 1993, in Santa Clara, California, to Trinidad Valentin and Johnny Harper. Her mother, Trinidad Valentin, is Filipina Chinese, while her father is African-American. She grew up in the Bay Area and Sacramento, Central Valley, with her middle-class family, which was quite large on both sides. She attended Merril F. West High School in Tracy and later graduated from Monterey Trail High School.<\/p>\n

She later studied Communications and Business at San Diego University before going to the University of South California, where she completed her degree and received a BA in Communications with an emphasis in business. After attaining her degree, Saweetie’s love for rap music led her to pursue a music career as a rapper.<\/p>\n
