It is not uncommon for the children of celebrities in Hollywood to want to follow in their parents’ footsteps, while some end up just as famous as their parents or even more so, others either gain notoriety due to their poorly advised decisions and actions or achieve the fame of their own but have it eclipsed by that of their parents. Such is the case with LeTesha Marrow, the daughter of rap legend and television star Ice-T. Marrow has followed in the footsteps of her father to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Though she first dabbled in music with her dad as one of her major influences, she would later branch into the world of TV and radio.
Ice-T’s Daughter, LeTesha Marrow, Was Born in New York City
LeTesha Marrow was born on March 20, 1976, in New York City, to his then-girlfriend Adrienne. When she was born, both her parents were still high school students. However, her mother continued to attend classes while rearing LeTesha. Ice and Adrienne began dating in the early-mid-1970s; however, information regarding the relationship has been kept under wraps. The two continued to date after Tesha’s birth but called it quits later on. Details about when and why the relationship ended have also not been disclosed.
Tesha’s father, Ice T, was raised by a conveyor belt mechanic father and a mother who was a full-time housewife. Unfortunately, he had a rather rough childhood, losing his mother at 9 to a heart attack and his father at the age of 12, leaving him to be raised by his aunt. Ice T had a difficult childhood, and thus when he got his girlfriend pregnant during his time at Crenshaw High School, he was determined to make sure his child got the best. As a result, Ice T took the bold step of enrolling in the army after LeTesha was born to support his young family. He joined the army in 1977 and was discharged in 1979; he achieved the rank of Private First Class while in service.
While in the army, Marrow got interested in hip hop and went on to pursue it as a career. His debut album titled Rhyme Pays came out in 1987, and since then, he has released a total of seven solo albums, not including his work with the likes of Quincy Jones and several other artists in the industry. He is a double Grammy winner and has even dabbled in the movie and television industry landing a permanent stint on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, for which he has won several awards.
Not Much is Known About Her Mother, Adrienne
— TT MOMMA😍😋😘 (@T_TEA_V) May 22, 2015
It seems as though LeTesha Marrow maintains a closer relationship with her father, seeing as she rarely ever mentions her mother. As a result, very little is known about her in the media. The only information publicly accessible about her is her name, which is Adrienne. It is unclear whether or not LeTesha she estranged from her mom. Not much information is available about her and what she is up to. However, there are photos online of LeTesha and her mother, albeit old photos from when LeTesha was much younger. The current status of their relationship remains a media mystery.
It is unknown how Adrienne’s life panned out after her relationship with Ice T ended, but like Ice, she moved on with her life and entered into relationships with other people. One of those relationships produced a child, a daughter who is now LeTesha’s half-sister. Like with most things about Letesha’s mother, that child’s identity has been kept under wraps.
LeTesha Marrow Has Two Half-Siblings From Her Father
LeTesha Marrow is the first of the three children fathered by Ice. However, she has a total of three siblings, a half-sister on her mother’s side, whose identity has been kept out of mainstream media, and two other half-siblings from her father’s side named Tracy Marrow Jr. and Chanel Marrow.
Tracy Marrow Jr.
- Date of birth: 1991
- Age: 30 years old
Tracy Marrow Jr. was born on November 23, 1991, to Ice and his now ex-girlfriend, fitness instructor, songwriter, and radio host-Darlene Ortiz whom he dated for 17 years. LeTesha was only 8 when the two started dating. He is currently a rapper in the music industry and is affiliated with his father’s heavy metal band, Body Count. However, this rapper has not always been on the straight and narrow.
He was detained on October 10, 2012, after police in Los Angeles pulled him over for playing too loud music in his car. He instead turned up the music after being asked to turn it down. Tracy was arrested and imprisoned after cops discovered he had a $10,000 warrant out for speeding. He was just 21 years old at the time. Following the incident, he seemed to have turned his life around. Like his sister, he too opted out of attending high school, following his graduation from a local high school where it is said that he actively played football.
- Born: 2015
- Age: 6 years old
Little Chanel is the youngest of the Marrow clan. She was born in 2015, 13 years after Ice-T tied the knot with her mother, Nicole “Coco” Marie Austin, an actress, dancer, model, and reality star. Chanel has an Instagram account managed by her parents, and the account currently has over 400k followers.
LeTesha Marrow Has A Career In TV and Radio
When LeTesha was five years old, she began taking singing lessons and pursued her artistic ambitions throughout her teen years, garnering inspiration from the likes of Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and her father, Ice-T. However, she eventually decided on pursuing a career in television. She attended a local high school but opted out of attending any college.
LeTesha began her career as a TV personality with a behind-the-scenes reality show she created called the T-Tea-V. The show was centered around her father Ice-T, his life, and his tours, on which she served as host. The show documented the rapper’s daily endeavors, his tours, and his personal and professional life. She worked as a host for the show for a while, but she later rose through the ranks to become the project’s CEO and assistant director.

Later in her career, she also began appearing in her father’s Ice Loves Coco reality TV show on June 12, 2011, when it premiered on E! in both the United States and Canada. The show lasted a total of 3 seasons and was canceled in 2014. The show was focused on the love life of her father and his wife, Coco Austin. Marrow and her son, Elyjah, were featured in a couple of episodes throughout the show’s 3 season run. LeTesha Marrow currently hosts a radio show on BE100 called The Street is Talking. She might not be the multiple award winner her father is, but she seems to be doing well in her lane, boasting a net worth of $2 million.
LeTesha Marrow Has A Son With Her Mystery Husband
While not a lot is known about Marrow’s history of past romances, she has for a long time been rumored to be married to a mystery man (for a very long time) whose identity has been kept from the media. Marrow, however, has yet to confirm this. What is a confirmed fact is that she has a son, Elyjah Marrow, who was born in 1995. LeTesha was just 18 when he was born. At the beginning of his life, Elyjah was famous for being the grandson of rapper and television legend Ice T. He even made appearances on his reality show Ice Loves Coco alongside his mother.
However, that was not the only reason he stayed in the spotlight. In 2014, when Elyja was only 19, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless conduct, after he accidentally shot and killed his roommate and friend- Daryus Johnson, in the chest. Johnson, although immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, did not make it.
He was also charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute and possessing marijuana in excess of an ounce by the court. With all the charges leveled against him, Elyjah Marrow was sentenced to 5 years in prison and was released on bond in 2019; he is currently a free man.
All the press surrounding his case put the Marrow family in the spotlight, most especially his mother, but while her father brought her fame, her son brought infamy. On the day of his release, LeTesha shared an Instagram post and threw a party in celebration.
