Indira developed a passion for music and singing at a very young age, her mother, Chaka Khan, told Quencie Thomas in her interview. Just like her mother, she has strong vocal strength. In the 1990s, she became a member of a musical group called Pretty In Pink.

The group is an American female and multicultural R&B and new jack swing music group. The group was named after a movie of the same name. Other group members were Shey Sperry, Tameika Chaney, Maurissa Tancharoen, and Taniya Robinson. The group was active in the 1990s and recorded under the Motown label.

Their hit song All About You was among the Billboard Hot 100 that year, pitching at #96 and #47  on the Billboard Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales Chart and #28  on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart.

Chaka Khan helped the group get exposure on shows such as The Arsenio Hall Show. Despite her efforts, the group crumbled and went into extinction due to negligence on the part of the record company in helping it get the investment and promotion it needed to thrive.

Later in her music career, Milini Khan toured around the country with the Daughters of Soul group before releasing her first EP in 2015, titled “Bathe Me.”

She Also Got Into Acting

Khan made her debut in acting in 1990 alongside her half-brother Damien Holland in Intimate Portrait, a  television series that aired on the Lifetime cable network. She starred as herself in the series. In 2016, she starred as her mother Chaka in the movie Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story.

Speaking on how she got the role to play, her mom, Indira, in an interview, said it had nothing to do with anyone influencing it, “I auditioned like everyone else,” she said. Unfortunately, she hasn’t taken on any other on-screen role since after that role. The reason for this is unknown.

Is Milini Khan Married?

Milini is very private when it comes to her personal life. There has never been any news about her personal life or relationships out in public; thus, whether she has ever been married or not, we cannot tell at the moment. Her relationship is also unknown at the moment.

However, she does have three beautiful children: Raeven Alexis Gibson, Jett Khan-Corley, and Josh Khan-Corley. Her first child is a daughter Raeven Alexis Gibson, who she had at the age of eighteen with Ralph Gibson. Her Only Brother Was Arrested And Charged For Murder

Chaka Khan’s marriage with Holland produced a son Damien Holland, who happens to be Milini Khan’s only sibling. In 2004, the then-25 years Damien was arrested for murdering a 17 years old boy Christopher Bailey. According to the LAPD, Damien shot the victim while struggling with a gun.

The gun went off during the struggle killing Bailey. Damien admitted to the incident but claimed that he was only trying to defend himself from Bailey, who had attacked him, and in the process, the gun discharged and killed him. The incident happened in Chaka Khan’s home during a party.

The singer had to testify on her son’s behalf claiming the shooting was an accident. Two years later, Damien was discharged and acquitted.
