Then from there, he moved to Swing of the Quad Cities that same year. He played for them for about a year, before he signed another contract with Nashua Pride in 2007.

Richard put a pause on his career for the whole of 2008 and this lasted for a year. He lifted the self-imposed hiatus in 2009 and went back to playing. He signed with one of his favorite teams; Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, where he played for four whole years.
