James ‘Murr’ Murray of Impractical Jokers is definitely not gay. As a matter of fact, the celebrity comedian, who is as straight as they come, has been married two times in his life and both times were to women.
Nevertheless, Murray has mostly been the one fueling rumors about his sexuality. In a 2016 episode of the Daytime Talk Show with Sally Jessy, Murray’s co-host and friend, Salvatore ‘Sal’ Vulcano came out with a revelation that he was gay in what turned out to be yet another one of their many pranks on each other. The group of four which includes high school friends Salvatore ‘Sal’ Vulcano, Joseph ‘Joe’ Gatto, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn, and James ‘Murr’ Murray, formed a primarily comedian group called The Tenderloins, and although Gatto has since departed to take care of private matters, the group who are the stars of the show called Impractical Jokers, continue to thrill fans and followers with their comedy and Jokes on live TV.
They have been known to prank each other, particularly James and Sal who have exchanged pranks that included sky diving incidents and seemingly fake marriages. Just like Sal, Murray’s coming out turned out to be false as he eventually exchanged marital vows with his now-wife Melyssa Davies a few years later.

James ‘Murr’ Murray appears to be happily married. The statement of fact is backed up by his marriage to Melyssa Davies on September 25, 2020, at Lake House Inn in Pennsylvania. Before his current marriage to Davies, Murray had tied the knot with his co-star Sal’s sister, Jenna Vulcano.
The exact date of the ceremony is not public knowledge except for the fact that it happened in 2014, two years before Murray jokingly declared that he was gay on a live television talk show. It was a marriage that had all the pumps and shenanigans like most celebrity marriages with family and friends in attendance.

James Murray Met His Wife Melyssa Davies In 2018
In addition to being a comedian, James ‘Murr’ Murray is also an author who has written several books, including Don’t Move and Awakened. And it was at the press event of the latter that he met his wife, Melyssa Davies. Murray expressed his gratitude to God for writing the book and for the subsequent press event that was held in June 2018 as it was responsible for bringing him and his wife together.
The couple became instantly attracted to each other and their relationship hit the ground running almost from the time they laid eyes on each other. As the events in their relationship unfolded, there was no doubt in the couple’s minds that they wanted to take things to the next level by spending the rest of their lives with each other.
Melyssa’s conviction was evident in the statement she made to a publication about how she could be herself around the Impractical Jokers’ star.
