In season 2 of Euphoria, Sam Levinson incorporates a backstory explaining how Fez got the scar. In the backstory, Fez, who is a product of an unstable family, has to be taken care of by his drug dealer grandmother.
As a young boy, he became his grandmother’s business partner and accompanied her to make deliveries.
One of the days he went out with his grandma, she accused three men of stealing her money and beat them up with a crowbar. Little Fez seeing his grandma’s dealings with the men, became worried that she would kill them. In an attempt to stop that, he rushes out of the car and unknowingly runs head-on with his grandma, resulting in a head injury.
Some fans think this is simply an amazing backstory explaining Cloud’s head scar and said they would keep it that way even if it weren’t the real story of the scar. Cloud hasn’t made any attempt to explain if there is any connection between the backstory and how he got the injury or not.
During interviews, Angus Cloud has been asked many times if he has the same or some similarities with Fezcon in real life, and his answers have always been No. Asides from that, they sound alike.
