Sally Got Married in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic

Sally Doocy is now married, and it is interesting to note that her wedding was accomplished in the middle of the Corona Virus pandemic against all odds.

Her husband has been identified as Ali Sadri, whom she met during her days as a student at Southern Methodist University. Ali’s career path is not stated, but his Facebook page claim he is currently at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School getting an MBA. The duo dated for a few years and decided to tie the knot upon graduation.

This vital life decision was taken during the period when the Corona Virus was ravaging all nooks and crannies of the United State, and needless to say, it made choosing a wedding date difficult.

In fact, their official engagement had to be called off and was later postponed for up to four months, and the same happened with the couple’s wedding ceremony. Initially, they scheduled their nuptials for the 2nd of May 2020, but it was later moved to the 1st of August 2020.

With their wedding date confirmed, the couple had to face the challenges of getting a priest to officiate the ceremony. Events took a disappointing turn as the priest they booked suddenly took ill and died.

With their plans shattered, Sally Doocy and Ali Sadri were desperately looking for a replacement priest and when none was forthcoming, they had to resort to going with Sally’s big brother, Peter, who had previously submitted an application (for a fee of $40. ) to become a licensed priest. The turn of events resulted in Peter being granted a license to officiate at his sister’s wedding.

Though Peter had to contend with a lot of challenges as it was his first time officiating at a wedding, he did admirably well, and the ceremony was a success. Needless to say, the nature of Sally’s wedding ceremony caught media attention – for one, it was conducted at the peak of the COVID-91 pandemic, and secondly, the hassles they had to go through to get an officiating priest.

It is not known whether Sally and Ali have children yet, but time will tell.
