We are certain of this because Ayanda and the late Sifso met when she was 18 years old, and they were together for 15 years until 2016 when he died, so Ayanda Ncwane can be said to be 40 years old, which means she was born on 12th August 1983.

Sifso and Ayanda Ncwane Were Happily Married

Ayanda and the late gospel music artist Sifso Ncwane met when she was 18 years – in 2001. According to reality TV star, at the age of 18, she and her friends went on a walk to buy some ice cream when she met Sifso, who walked up to her and asked what a beautiful girl like her was doing in a big city like Johannesburg without a family.

She didn’t mind his interest in her and responded by saying she was trying to raise money to further her education and pursue her passion for acting and modeling. To cut a long story short, they had a long conversion, and he told her that he was going to marry her. They started dating as they were in love with each other, and by February 18, 2007, he proposed.

A few months later, in June 2007, they tied the nuptial knots. They would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2017 if Sifso Ncwane had not died in December 2016. The almost 10 years old marriage between Ayanda Ncwane and the late Sifso was blessed with two amazing boys – Ngcweti Ncwane and Mawenza Ncwane.

She Did Not Envisage Sifso Ncwane’s Sudden Death

The happy marriage of Ayanda Ncwane and her late but beloved husband, Sifso, came to a sad end on the 5th of December 2016 due to kidney failure. Before his death, he was rushed to the hospital; after diagnosis, he was moved to the intensive care unit (ICU), but he was not able to overcome the ailment as he gave up the ghost in the arms of his wife, who wasn’t expecting his departure at that time.

Sifso’s death affected Ayanda so much that she is still not ready to move on to another relationship to date. As creepy as it may sound, after three years of her husband’s death, Ayanda revealed that nothing in the house had changed, the bedsheets in their room were still the same, and his pictures on the wall were all still hanged up there.

Although her husband’s death did not stop her from living a productive and beautiful life, according to Ayanda, she is not ready to move on with another man. She admitted that immediately after her husband’s death – even while she was still mourning – several men had already started showing interest in her.

However, a statement she made during an interview with Drum reveals that she may be open to another relationship later in her life. She said she wonders if the next man can be strong enough to be with a woman who will always be labeled “Sifso Ncwane’s wife.” She also said the next man must be strong because she already feels sorry for him.

Ayanda Ncwane is a gorgeous and talented woman. Whenever she gets ready for another relationship that leads to marriage, there will undoubtedly be a good number of good men who will be willing to have her.

Ayanda Ncwane Faced Her Own Challenges While Married To Sifso Ncwane

Like other couples, Ayanda and Sifso’s marriage also had its downsides, but they stayed together and fought for their marriage. To start with, Ayanda and her in-laws did not have a good relationship. They always called her a gold digger and said she was only after their son’s money.

Late Sifso Ncwane was the breadwinner of his family – both nuclear and extended – so Ayanda thought it was totally normal for family members to call whoever marries him a gold digger. Even after the death of her husband, her in-laws did not treat her any better. She had to wear her mourning clothes for 12 months in obedience to their culture, and she felt it was not right because men were not treated the same and women were supposed to have a choice.

Aside from the trouble she faced from her in-laws, the couple also faced challenges with baby mamas. In 2015, Pinky Dlamini accused the late gospel singer of being her son’s father and demanded he started paying child support. However, Sifso denied her claims and challenged her to a paternity test, saying he cannot pay child support to a child who is not his. According to the alleged baby mama, she and the gospel singer dated in 2002, but after she got pregnant, he abandoned her.

Besides Pinky’s child, Sifso also had other children out of wedlock that he never spoke about. In 2010, another baby mama demanded he acknowledged their child together and pay child support. Again, in episode two of The Real Housewives of Durban, Nonku Williams revealed that she had a child for Sifso. Although Ayanda was surprised when she mentioned that, she admitted she knew about the child in her book on the show.

During an Instagram Live, a fan was bold enough to ask Nonku whether Sifso cheated on his wife with her, but she said the late artist did not cheat on Ayanda with her. She said she got pregnant for him before Ayanda came into the picture. After Sifso’s death, his baby mamas came out to request their share of his properties and even accused Ayanda of faking a will to be the only beneficiary
