The much-anticipated Cassper’s new hit Tito Mboweni finally dropped on Friday, stirring a lot of controversies on social media.

The rapper became the talk of the Twitter town on Friday when he released the single from his upcoming album. Perhaps it was as a result of all the hype but just after about 20 minutes the song was uploaded to iTunes, it quickly climbed the ladder to the top spot.

The hit track dominated both the hip-hop and general singles chart, blowing away his rival AKA in the process. Cassper’s new hit overshadowed AKA’s The World Is Yours, which has been occupying the number one position for several weeks.

Prior to the epic rise of the song to the top, fans got the shock of their lives when AKA shared the download link for Cassper Nyovest’s latest single.

The rapper surprised everyone earlier today by sharing his former rival’s latest single via his Twitter handle. And since he didn’t put any caption on the post, tweeps decided to make one for him.

Team AKA quickly concluded that the rapper shared the link to prove his point that trashy music can also top the charts.

Notably, they also pointed out that ever since Cassper announced the release of his new song, AKA has been hate-tweeting indirectly.

Apparently, he wanted to make it clear to fans that he wasn’t just topping the charts, he was also sharing the vibes. To him, that matters more than staying on top of the charts.

Meanwhile, Twitter has seen mixed reactions about the song since its release today. While some tweeted about how amazing the song is, some others objected, saying it wasn’t worth the wait.
