In March this year, SABC1 announced that they were glad to have Lawrence Maleka on board to host their new dating show, Too Hot to be Single, which started airing on the 8th of April 2021.

Lawrence Maleka made his acting debut in 2015 on the popular soap opera IsiBaya, where he played the role of Don Webster in the season 3, 4, and 5 of the series.
