All his works are noteworthy, but he is most famous for being the presenter of the Mzansi Magic talent show, Clash of Choirs South Africa. He Has Anchored So Many Other Shows Since Then

Since his breakthrough role in 2009, he has built a solid career for himself in the entertainment industry. In 2011, he was the host of the promotional show Coca-Cola Happiness on e.tv. A year later, he co-hosted the celebrity gossip show on AfricaMagic Entertainment with Vimbai Mutinhiri dubbed ‘Star Gist’ for two years – till 2014.

In 2015, he appeared as a celebrity contestant with Bucie Nqwiliso and Busisiwe Gqula on the e.TV’s game show ‘I Love Africa,’ and following the exit of Fezile Makhanya from the Lotto Powerball lottery game on e.tv, he took over the hosting role.

Still, in 2015, he landed the chance to be a presenter of the talent reality TV show, Clash of the Choirs South Africa after Bonang Matheba left the show. This became one of the biggest television presenting roles in his career the Clash of Choirs reality show airs on Mzansi Magic. In 2016, he joined Boity Thulo to co-host e.tv’s Club 808, and then in 2017, he landed a role on The Final Cut, a reality competition that airs on SABC3.

After Four Years Hiatus, Lawrence Maleka Is Now A Presenter for SABC1

Lawrence Maleka took a break from presenting for about four years. His last presenting role in 2017 was for SABC3’s reality TV show, The Final Cut. The reason why he took a break from presenting despite saying he prefers presenting to acting is unknown. In March this year, SABC1 announced that they were glad to have Lawrence Maleka on board to host their new dating show, Too Hot to be Single, which started airing on the 8th of April 2021.

According to Maleka, he is excited to be a part of SABC1, and presenting the show is a dream come through for him. He also hopes to become an international presenter one day, and every show he presents is a step towards achieving that dream. However, viewers of the South African TV series, The Rivers did not receive this news with so much excitement, as they fear one of their favorite actors may be leaving the show anytime soon.

Lawrence Maleka made his acting debut in 2015 on the popular soap opera IsiBaya, where he played the role of Don Webster in the season 3, 4, and 5 of the series. He later joined the cast of the award-winning South African TV series Generations: The Legacy, where he played the role of Zolani from season one to three. This was his first lead role; he was unsure how much fans would love the character, but fans loved it.

Lawrence Maleka keeps his wife from the public domain; as such, nothing is known about her other than her name, Zenokuhle Maseko. Before getting married to his Zeno, he revealed his exact spec for a wife. According to him, she should be down-to-earth, classy, versatile, and goal-oriented. Additionally, he also wanted a woman who can motivate him.
