Following the singer’s death towards the end of last year, Sfiso Ncwane’s widow Ayanda took a break from social media to allow her mourn her late husband.
Nonetheless, she has taken a moment from her painful grieving to say thank you to y’all for all the love and support during her trying moments. She is speaking for the first time since the gospel star’s sudden death. The award-winning gospel singer died at a Fourways hospital at the age of 37 after being diagnosed with kidney failure. The news sent shock waves through the nation in December.
The star was buried shortly after his demise and since then, Ayanda has remained silent and away from the public eye. However, Sfiso Ncwane’s widow who pleaded for privacy in the last days of the singer’s death finally broke her silence. She thanked the public for respecting her request for privacy during her period of mourning.
Consequently, she took to social media and penned a thank you message for all who have been supportive.
“I found it fitting to take a moment from my silent mourning and heavy painful grieving to say thank you to you all for showing deep love for my husband and for thoughts and prayers for us as a family‚” she wrote.

In addition, Ayanda expressed her gratitude for being allowed to “mourn in private“ as she embarks on this strange journey of being a widow.
“Thank you for allowing me to mourn in peace and in private‚ as I start a very strange and new journey as widow‚” she said.
After memorial services, the gospel star was laid to rest following a final farewell at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on December 10.
