There are some changes on the second season of Ridiculousness Africa which will affect the hosts of the show as we know them.
South African presenter Boity Thulo will not be returning as the host of the second season of Ridiculousness Africa. Taking over her spot on the show is former Vuzu and Generations: The Legacy star Denise Zimba.
Also, Nigerian comedian Basketmouth who was one of the trio will not be returning as well. Notwithstanding, South African actor and comedian Thomas Gumede will return as one of the hosts on the new season.
Replacing Basketmouth is another Nigerian personality Ehizojia “Ehiz” Okoeguale who will join the crew as the latest addition to the presenting panel.
While the new season of the show returns on 8 June on MTV, shooting has already commenced in Spain.
In a statement, Zimba expressed her excitement about the gig she bagged on the show.
“I’ve always been fan of the show; it’s hilarious so I’m excited to be joining Thomas and Ehiz and to be doing my thing! I’m a perfect fit – the show is fun and colourful, a bunch of laughs with high energy.”
She warned that fans would get to see her like never before, promising to bring her A-game to the stage.
“I’m going to be bringing all of me onto set. Everyone knows I’m crazy and loud and I’m gonna bring vibrant commentary. I just hope I can contain myself…”
With a clear warning – “don’t try this at home,” Ridiculousness Africa features insane antics, crazy stunts and life-threatening acts of senselessness plus the stupidest stunts ever. The new show is the home-grown version of “Ridiculousness,” which has been showing on MTV hosted by Rob Dyrdek.
