Rapper Emteee Losing His Head After Meeting Zuma


Rapper Emtee had one of his wishes fulfilled after he recently met with President Jacob Zuma.

The Roll up hitmaker, who instantly lost his head after the presidential recognition marched to Twitter and Instagram to show off how it all transpired.

Esteem posted that he was happy to know that Zuma knows him by name and gladly shook his hand with smiles.

The rapper also met Deputy President Cypril Ramaphosa, who praised and told him how he [Ramaphosa] would like to a rapper.

“I now feel like I want to become a rapper/musician. Well done young man,” Ramaphosa told Emtee.

Recently, the ‘Roll Up’ hitmaker was nominated for the 2016 BET Awards in the Viewer’s Choice Award: Best New International act category.

He was nominated alongside Falz (Nigeria), MHD (France), Tkay Maidza (Zimbabwe/Australia), WSTRN (UK) and Section Boyz (UK). The nomination came after his big win at South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

The singer also walked away with the highly-contested Best Rap Album, Male Artist of the Year and Record Of The Year for “Roll Up.”

Meanwhile, the 2016 BET Awards will take place on Tuesday, 28 June in Los Angeles. The show will also be televised on BET Africa (Channel 129 on DSTV).

Emtee’s category is based on a public vote. The rapper is urging fans to vote using the hashtag #IPickEmtee.

Rapper Emtee To Launch Own Record

The rapper, who recently made his TV debut on hit soapie Muvhango, says he is set to launch his own record label. He added that the comes from his desire to spread his talents and brand across a number of platforms.

“The one thing that I have realized is that anything is possible. I want to go up and up. I want to be everywhere,” he said.

He however reassured fans that his upcoming record label will not mean the end of his relationship with Ambitiouz.
