Rapper Cassper Nyovest Embroiled In Song Theft Accusation Following Album Release

There’s another song theft accusation making its rounds and rapper Cassper Nyovest is right in the middle of it all.

Musical artist Nhlanhla Dlamini said he was alerted by his fans after Cassper’s album dropped. Dlamini alleged that the fan favourite in the recently released album is an exact replica of his 2016 track. The song Baby Girl is about a couple professing their love to each other and the artist from Tembisa is sure the rapper stole it from him.

Dlamini claimed that fans called his attention to it and told him to listen to Baby Girl. Apparently, they thought it sounded very similar to his song.

Subsequently, the artist confirmed that the song sounded like a track he had released last year.

It gets more interesting. The artist also said he had sent a sample of that particular track to Cassper last year, a mail his people allegedly did not acknowledge receipt of. Afterwards, he said he tagged them on links on his social media pages to get them to listen to the song.

Furthermore, Dlamini has reportedly shown Sowetan the emails he sent to Cassper at the time, requesting that he listen to his song. In addition, there’s a voice note of the artist and his manager discussing the song in 2016.

So far, neither rapper Cassper Nyovest nor his management has commented on the issue.
