Apparently, Cassper wasn’t the only celebrity making history on December 2 as singer Khaya Mthethwa and former Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene got married in a traditional wedding on the same day.
On Saturday, the former beauty queen and former Idols SA winner had their traditional wedding after dating for just a few months. The beautiful ceremony took place in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga and the lovely pictures are already making waves as both shared shots from their special day on social media.
The bride wore an off-the-shoulder cream and gold coloured dress which complimented her elegant figure. The dress which was accessorised with a matching Zulu hat and beaded overlay was made by FabroSanz Creations. On the other hand, Khaya wore a matching white dashiki with a traditional Zulu headband called an umqhele.
While they have been keeping their relationship under wraps ever since it started, the couple did not hesitate to share their wedding with fans on social media. The couple, who have been dating for three months, managed to keep their relationship a secret until a week ago when it was revealed that they were getting married.
According to a relative who spoke to Sunday World last week, the two lovebirds decided to get married soon after they started dating because they are both very religious Christians.
“Khaya is a pastor and he is also from a very religious family. His father told our family that the couple has to get married before they are introduced as a couple and it was also Khaya’s wish to marry Ntando,” the relative said.
Apparently friends and family were also given strict instructions not to talk about the wedding publicly. Nevertheless, we wish the new couple the best in their future endeavours.
