Fresh Police Case Opened Against Public Protector Thuli Madonsela

ANC member Pedron Nndwa has opened an inquiry into allegations that outgoing Public Protector Thuli Madonsela is on the payroll of US intelligence Agency.

Pedron Nndwa, a former acting manager in Musina Municipality, Limpopo; launched the inquiry into the allegations on September 18 at the Sunnyside police station.

The little-known ANC member also claimed that he has proof that the Public Protector is closely knitted with the US intelligence Agency.

Nndwa’s allegation comes two days after the ANC Youth League slammed Madonsela for carrying out an investigation into the state capture. According to the League, Madonsela‘s probe into the state capture is a sign that she is a “stooge of the white monopoly capital”.

The ANCYL argued that the public protector’s investigation shows that Zuma and the country are being targeted by “imperial forces”. It also recalled that Madonsela’s office ran out of funds to process the case; but it surprisingly received a cash guarantee from Treasury to continue with the Gupta probe – this shows Madonsela is being used to push an agenda against Zuma’s administration, the league insisted.

Mkhize Throws His Weight Behind Pedron Nndwa

Weighing in on the matter too, ANCYL spokesperson, Mlondi Mkhize; asserted that Madonsela’s silence on the thorny matter shows that she is truly a spy.

Meanwhile, the Gauteng head of investigations, Colonel Moabi Modise confirmed that an inquiry was opened to test the allegations that she [Madonsela] is a CIA spy; and determine whether charges can be laid against her.

It is pertinent to note that the spy allegation was first made by Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veteran’s Association Chairman Kebby Maphatsoe in 2015; when Madonsela’s investigation on Zuma’s Nkandla was at the apogee.

Following  Maphatose’s baseless allegation, he was tongue-lashed by Madonsela’s supporters. He subsequently apologized to the Public Protector Thuli.

Meanwhile, the head of Corruption Watch, David Lewis has laughed off the allegations. He condemned the baseless allegation and described it as a “sham”.

Reacting also, Madonsela’s spokesperson, Oupa Segalwe said Public Protector Thuli won’t waste her time on the allegations; because she might be distracted from state capture probe if she does.

“She is not aware that a case has been opened and that the SAPS are conducting an inquiry into the matter. If SAPS has resources to entertain such things; it is their decisions,” Segalwe said.

Earlier, precisely, on Saturday, Madonsela took to Twitter to rubbish the claims that she is a spy. The confident public protector asserted that if anyone wants to frame her; the least the person can do is “hire someone smart enough to know that spies used codes”.
