Fan-favourite and Idols SA finalist Paxton Fielies is already attracting deals before the end of the singing competition.
The Cape Town 17-year-old singing sensation has been added to the lineup to perform in front of 15,000 people at the Huawei KDay music festival.
While she seems to be oozing with talent, Paxton was just an unknown artist before Idols. Nevertheless, she has made a name for herself on the popular singing competition and has effortlessly sang her way to the grand finale.
Consequently, she will get to rub shoulders with some of South Africa’s finest during next year’s music festival set for 3 March 2018.
“I am so excited, I am so very excited,” she screamed.
The festival will be a platform for the young singer to share a stage with the likes of Mi Casa; AKA; Shekinah; Freshly Ground and a slew of other popular acts. The Huawei KDay music festival, set to take place at the Meerendal Estate is one of the Mother City’s biggest music festivals. The gate opens at 9am, with the event set to start from 11am to 7pm.
Paxton Fielies is the youngest contestant in this year’s Idols SA competition. Fans are already rallying round their favourite contestant as they get ready to battle it out in the finale on Sunday. Fellow Capetonians are certain the Idols SA finalist will win the competition which is now between her and Mthokozisi Ndaba, 25.
Similarly, there are some other fans who believe that Mthokozisi will wear the crown at the end. They believe he has more African flavour that his rival.
Notwithstanding, both contestants are rich in talent and we can only find out who wins on Sunday. While our fingers are crossed, the contestants have vowed to bring their A-game to the final showdown.
