Ntsiki Targets SA Celebs With A Bag Full Of Shades

Controversial poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai was recently spotted on the streets of Twitter with a bag full of shades which she packed for some targeted SA celebs.

Ntsiki is known for starting a war whenever she feels like and this time, she has Terry Pheto and other famous SA exports on her hit list.

Taking to Facebook on Thursday, she strongly criticized the increasing number of South African actors and actresses who have taken their talents to America.

According to the musician, they are not promoting or rooting for black greatness. Ntsiki is all about black consciousness and making black people great. She had earlier slammed SA Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela for failing to represent black people effectively.

Ntsiki used award-winning actress Terry Pheto to buttress her point. Regardless of its popularity, Ntsiki maintained that Terry’s spot on popular US TV soapie Bold and the Beautiful is an example of a role that held no “power.”

In her opinion, South Africans are always promoting American shows, more than the local ones. In addition, the country is deluded by dreams to make it big in America.

These comments come after SA actress Pearl Thusi made her highly-anticipated debut on US TV series Quantico.

While the nation applauded Pearl’s achievements, Ntsiki took to social media to criticize South Africans for idolizing American TV shows instead of their own. She also lambasted them for choosing to celebrate Pearl Thusi day and not Winnie Mandela’s birthday (the two events coincided).

Prior to the debut which was aired in September, the entire nation showed their support for the actress. In fact‚ the day was totally declared #PearlThusiDay to celebrate Pearl’s success. Thus, touched by the love showered on her, Pearl took to Twitter shortly after her debut to thank her fans.
