Nigerian Pastor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Over 30 Women In Umhlanga


Reports have it that a Nigerian pastor accused of sexually assaulting over 30 women in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal has handed himself over to the Hawks in Port Elizabeth.

From our gatherings, the Nigerian pastor allegedly abused the young women at his home in Umhlanga and, is being questioned by the Hawks in Port Elizabeth.

Already, the Nigerian pastor is facing charges of human trafficking. While it is anticipated that he’ll get to bag more charges, it is also expected that Hawks would make more arrests.

As learnt, Hawks [South Africa’s Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation – (DPIC)] is investigating those responsible for the recruitment of the women for the Nigerian pastor.

Meanwhile, a Greytown serial rapist bagged 12 life terms imprisonment.

The Durban Regional Court convicted and sentenced Mhlabunzima Goodnews Zondi (39) to 12 life terms imprisonment for rape and a total of 77 years imprisonment for kidnapping, pointing of firearm and theft.

Zondi was arrested after he raped a 17-year-old girl he offered a lift.

During investigation, he was linked to eleven other rape cases through DNA. He committed the crimes between 2009 and 2013 in Greytown, Durban Central, New Hanover, Eshowe, Pietermaritzburg and Melmoth.

“The accused made various court appearances before the docket was transferred to Durban Regional Court where he was convicted and sentenced.

“He was sentenced to life imprisonment for each count of rape, five years for each count of kidnapping, 12 years for pointing with a firearm and five years for theft,” SAPS related.

Likewise, the Polokwane High Court imposed a life term imprisonment on two serial rapists. The serial rapist identified as Isaiah Masenya (29) and Doctor Mogota (27) have been terrorising the Mankweng community.

The duo reportedly committed numerous offences ranging from robbery to rape, attempted murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
