Rapper Nicki Minaj Falls Victim To Burglary

While rapper Nicki Minaj was away, burglars reportedly broke into her Beverly Hills mansion and helped themselves to some expensive stuff.

A report on E! News revealed that the Anaconda hitmaker was not home when burglars stole $175 000 worth of jewellery and other items. Though it’s still unclear how they got in, the burglars managed to break in without triggering any security device in the building.

Minaj is renting the property and lived there with ex-boyfriend Meek Mill. The two hip-hop stars called time on their relationship about a month ago and it is unclear where Mill has been putting up.

The 11,500-square-foot, nine-bedroom mansion, stands in a secured environment. According to its rental listing, the house is equipped with security systems and closed circuit cameras. Thus, it would be difficult to get in and out without leaving footprints.

Meanwhile, it is unclear where Minaj was at the time of the break-in. All we know is that the rapper recently reunited with Drake after their friendship appeared to have hit the rocks over the past year. Minaj recently hung out with Drake and Lil Wayne who is the founder of their record label – Young Money Entertainment. Afterwards, she posted a photo of the three on Wednesday on her Instagram.

While the there are no suspects yet, police said an investigation is still going on. To facilitate this, detectives are seeking video footage of the incident. The burglary which happened last week was reported a few days after for personal reasons.

Minaj’s house was burglarised months after reality TV star Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint and robbed of jewellery worth millions of dollars while attending Paris Fashion Week.
