She has gained notoriety over the years but she is perhaps best known for her relationship with Mandla Mthembu – the millionaire, who she was married to from 2006 to 2009.
Khanyi’s first claim to the spotlight arose when she joined Muvhango’s cast, replacing Lindiwe Chibi as Doobsie on the show in 2004.
The 31-year-old socialite is also commonly referred to as ‘the queen of bling’.
The queen of bling has been active in South Africa’s social scene since 2004.
Khanyisile Mbau was born on the 15th of October, 1985 in Mofolo in Soweto which is in Johannesburg in the Gauteng province of South Africa.

She was officially fired from the show after she left South Africa for the Middle East without giving notice while the show was still filming.
After her stint on Muvhango, she was cast in Mzansi – a hit show on SABC 1 – as Mbali, replacing Lerato Moloisane.

Khanyi’s personal life is something of a fixture for South African tabloids since her debut in the industry. Her partying, her plastic surgeries and her relationship with millionaires are definitely worth the gossip.
Her most famous relationship has been with Mandla Mthembu who was fifty when they first got together.
The Robben Island inmate turned millionaire married the then 20-year old Khanyi Mbau when she was four months pregnant.
Their daughter was born on the 24th of December, 2006.
After their divorce in 2009, Khanyi began dating 51 year old married millionaire – Theunis Cronus.
However, their relationship was short lived and over by January 2010.
Her next relationship was with Tebogo Lerole which surprised many as the musician was not millionaire and also within her age bracket.
Their relationship is rumored to have began in 2011. They were also reports that the couple had split by 2014.
But honestly… who can say for sure?
