What Actually Happened?

An argument started between DJ Black and AKA’s road manager after AKA and his team arrived two hours late for his performance. There’s more… AKA wanted to mount the stage regardless of who was scheduled to perform next.

Rapper AKA’s slot was scheduled to last for 35 minutes; 22:10 – 22:45, while Black Coffee was scheduled to take over the stage for an hour between 12:30 and 01:30.

However, for reasons best known to them, AKA and his team arrived few minutes before Black Coffee was scheduled to go on stage. Now, instead of ironing out things with the organisers of the show, he wanted to use Black Coffee’s slot to perform. This sparked off controversy and tempers flared up.

As a result, a short clip by Z’Khiphani, showed music legend Black Coffee in a heated argument with AKA’s road manager Tshiamo. For a while, it looked like a normal talk to settle issues. However, things got out of hand and as a result, DJ Black blessed him with a slap so hard that Tshiamo’s cap flew away.

After all the hassle, AKA had to cancel his performance for the event. The Dstv iRock Music Festival is an annual event that Limpopo fans look forward to every year.

In addition, another feud broke out off stage between AKA and some groups. In another video, AKA (in white) can be seen in a fight with the organisers of the festival.

Meanwhile, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema took to Twitter to congratulate DJ Black for slapping AKA’s road manager, using emoticons. It’s no longer news that Malema and AKA are not best of friends. Thus, the politician was happy he got served.

AKA has already taken to Twitter tell his fans to ask DStv for their money back since he didn’t perform.
