Minnie Dlamini is married. She has been married to former American football cornerback Quinton Jones since 2017, and just like her successful career through which she has garnered an estimated net worth of $1.2 Million (R14.4 Million), her marriage has been great so far.

Minnie Dlamini is one of the better-known faces on SABC 1 who serves as the presenter of the music show, Live Amp. In addition to her work with the television channel, the South African media personality is also a model and actress who has boasts of a resume that many others hope to one day achieve.

Minnie, who was born in Soweto, KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa on the 7th of July, 1990, caught her big break in 2010 while studying at the University of Cape Town. She won the search for the new presenter of Live that year and thus made her television debut on one of the most-watched shows in South Africa. Her first screen appearance saw her cover the “Youth Day” and “World Cup celebrations” shows with other presenters that included Bonang Matheba, Phila Mazibuko, MTV VJ Sizwe Dhlomo, and Tbo Touch.

Within a few months of scoring the gig on SABC 1, Minnie Dlamini launched her acting career as she landed the role of Miranda on the SABC 1 soap opera Generations. Her new acting role as well as the increasing exposure her presenting gig provided her gave her instant fame, more than any other newcomer had seen. This led to her being named as the new face of South African departmental store LEGit, who exclusively put out her own fashion line called the Minnie-Series.

Her stay on Live was later cut short as she was moved to host another SABC 1 show, Mzansi Insider, a role that solidified her as one of South Africa’s biggest ‘It-girl’. Minnie Dlamini further played the lead role of Zintle Lebone on The Wild in 2011 before going ahead to co-present the 2012 Miss South Africa.

That same year, the young girl opted to resign from SABC 1 in order to fully pursue her acting career. This gave room for her to go ahead and be cast as Nosipho Bogatsu on M-Net’s Rockville.

Minnie, however, made a comeback in the following year, hosting the SABC 1 sports show Soccerzone with Thomas Mlambo. Other TV shows and events that she went on to host or present include the 14th Metro FM Music Awards, 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, the PSL Awards, and the South African Film and Television Awards.

Thanks to the amount of fame Minnie Dlamini was able to acquire in such a short period of time as a media personality and actress, details of her life have been a constant feature in South African tabloid newspapers. She had for a while been linked to numerous other celebrities, most notably Kaizer Chiefs and South African national team goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune. By 2017, however, after her relationship with Khune ended, all other rumors were put to bed as it was announced she would be exchanging marital vows with former American football cornerback, Quinton Jones.

The pair had their traditional marriage on the 8th of July 8, 2017, in Glenn Hills, Durban North while their white wedding took place about two months later on the 16th of September, 2017. Multichoice paid the couple R6 million to have exclusive coverage rights of the lead up to the wedding as well as the ceremony itself. On October 13, 2017, a three-part reality docu-series that documented her pre-wedding and post-wedding journey titled: Minnie Dlamini: Becoming Mrs. Jones was aired on Vuzu Amp on DStv.

It is no surprise to find out that Minnie Dlamini is one of the most widely known media personalities in South Africa, a fact that has translated to her being one of the highest-paid in the industry. According to reports online, she is estimated to have a net worth of around $1.2 Million (R14.4 Million), a figure she has accumulated through her acting, co-hosting, and modelling careers. She is further said to be making a fortune from her deal with LEGit which she serves as the face of.

Not one to keep all she has made to herself, the actress has been involved with a number of charities ever since she began making the big bucks. In 2014, she went as far as launching her own foundation called the Minnie Dlamini Foundation which aims to assist young girls in her country get a quality education. To raise funds for the foundation, Minnie released a calendar in 2015 which featured multiple portraits of herself. In the same year, she announced that her foundation will be sponsoring 29 students with their university fees.
