Hell broke loose on Twitter immediately new police minister Fikile Mbalula dropped a congratulatory birthday message for President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday.
Mbalula, South Africa’s master of razzmatazz and well-known Twitter maniac took to Twitter in the morning to identify with Zuma on his 75th birthday.
He wrote: “A happy birthday day to the Robben Island prisoner, a freedom fighter, a liberator of our people, the President of the Republic of South Africa.”

But the backlashes that greeted his post got many Twitter users divided, leaving some feelings of mixed reactions and controversy.
While many saw nothing wrong with the message, others felt the razzmatazz master was seeking Zuma’s attention as usual.
His pack of critics hurriedly poured out their disappointment with the Twitter lord, insinuating that he has already sold his soul.
Here are some side-splitting responses currently sitting on Mbalula’s Twitter wall.

Nevertheless, other users protested why Mbalula didn’t celebrate former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, who also shares a birth date with President Zuma.
While South Africa’s number one clocked 75, Gordhan turned 68.

President Jacob Zuma turned 75 today. His party, the National African Congress (ANC) on Wednesday said Zuma made “unmatched sacrifices” to liberate South Africa, in its birthday wishes to him.
ANC spokesperson Khusela Sangoni said in a statement that the party is grateful to Zuma and other freedom fighters for leading a just course for the people.
She said Zuma has always committed himself to expediting land redistribution, eradicating racism, and building social cohesion and unity.
“The president has been at the forefront of the efforts to build a national democratic society underpinned by radical socio-economic transformation characterised by inclusive growth and a better life for all our people. The ANC wishes President Jacob Zuma many happy returns and a happy and productive day,” she said.
Meanwhile, the ANC birthday bash in honour of Zuma has kicked off at the Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, in Kliptown, Soweto.
