Apparently, filling up Mo Flava’s shoes on Metro FM’s morning drive show will not be an easy task for Somizi and khanyi who debuted on the show Monday morning.
Following the outcome of the reshuffling at the radio station, Somizi, Khanyi Mbau and Ntombi Ngcobo have officially stepped into the shoes left by Mo Flava and Lerato Kganyago on the Metro FM’s morning drive show.
The much anticipated show titled Whose Show Is It Anyway, left a lot of fans disappointed. The morning show which was expected to awaken the city got off to a slow start instead, coupled with a few technical glitches,
After Metro FM’s Tbo Touch resigned last month, all ears were itching to hear the next move the station will take. When the changes and reshuffling started streaming in, fans were optimistic that the team chosen for the morning drive show will deliver.
But unfortunately, fans were not satisfied with what they heard as they tuned in to the show. Some dissatisfied fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with much of the commentary focused on the team’s radio presenting skills.
This >>> RT @semakalengm: I love somizi. I wish he would have turned down this gig. It’s not for him

I love Somizi and Khanyi, just not on my radio

If anyone is to blamed for this radio blunder at Metro Fm it's the Management. Somizi and Khanyi just accepted Job Offers. Let's be fair.

Also disappointed, rapper AKA seemingly shared his thoughts, without mentioning any names or directing his comment to anyone.
This is horrible, cringeworthy stuff.

Though his comment did not point fingers at anyone in particular, there’s a good chance that it was directed at Somizi.
The two have been at loggerheads since September last year.
Somizi who was originally set to fill another position was told to take over the morning slot at the last minute.
“There has been a lot of reshuffling. He was only told recently that he would be taking over the morning slot,” says an insider.
