The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader said he had wanted to apologize to President Zuma’s alleged rape accuser Fezeka Kuzwayo before the cold hands of death enveloped her.
Malema said although he had earlier apologized to the young woman, he was making preparations to apologize to her personally before she died.

The fighter, in 2009, hurled demeaning and sarcastic comments at Kuzwayo following the incidence. Speaking at that time, Malema who was the leader of the ANCYL told students at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology:
“When a woman didn’t enjoy it, she leaves early in the morning. Those who had a nice time will wait until the sun comes out, request breakfast and ask for taxi money. In the morning, that lady requested breakfast and taxi money….”
Juju To Apologize To Fezeka Kuzwayo’s Family
However, the fighter later rendered an apology to Kuzwayo that same year, after the Sonke Gender Justice Network dragged him to court for his demeaning utterances.
Nevertheless, Juju said he will now apologize to Fezeka Kuzwayo’s mother as it wouldn’t be a big deal.
“I will never have a problem apologizing to her mother. That’s how far I’m prepared to go and send condolences to the family and to repeat my public apology.I wanted to apologize to her. We were working towards visiting her,” he said.
Kuzwayo – popularly known as Khwezi, made headlines after she accused President Jacob Zuma of raping a decade ago. In 2005, Zuma was charged with rape after an investigation into the allegation found that he slept with the then 31-year-old woman at his home in Johannesburg.
But Zuma argued that it was consensual sex, adding that he had a shower to prevent HIV transmission. He was later acquitted of the charge in May 2006 by the Johannesburg High Court.
Khwezi died on Saturday. The cause of death was not given by the family. She was reportedly diagnosed with HIV/Aids in 1990.
