The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has sympathized with it national leader, Julius Malema‚ on the death of his beloved aunt, Nurse Malema. Malema’s aunt died on Monday April 2016 after a brief illness. Until her death, she was EFF’s member. For this reason, the party says Juju, will not make any public appearance this week.
Meanwhile, EFF’s spokesperson Mbuyiseni Quintin Ndlozi has recounted how active and vibrant Nurse Malema was during her lifetime. Ndlozi stated that she greatly helped in the formation and sustenance of the party.
Ndolozi said, “The EFF was blessed in that the Malema’s not only gave us their son‚ the CIC Julius Malema‚ but also his aunt who was active right from the beginning of the formation of our movement. In many instances‚ family members of political activists join the movement for moral support and because their relatives are in the leadership.
Nurse Malema was an activist in her own right and joined the EFF because of its mission and the need to challenge the system. She will be dearly missed by all fighters‚ in particular the community of Seshego where she was active and based.”
The party statement also indicated that Julius Malema will not attend the party’s outstanding community meeting this week so that he would be able to mourn his aunt accordingly.
Malema Won’t Make Public Appearance This Week
“As a result of the passing of Nurse Malema‚ the CIC Julius Malema will not attend the remaining community meetings the week. Despite this loss‚ the CIC Julius Malema will however address the EFF Manifesto Launch Rally on 30 April‚ 2016 in Orlando Stadium‚ Soweto‚” the party said in a statement.
According to Malema’s family, Nurse Malema’s funeral will be held on Monday 02 May 2016‚ in Seshego‚ Polokwane.
