How Old Is Luthuli Dlamini?

Luthuli Dlamini is currently 58 years old. He was born on March 13, 1966, in a city in Zimbabwe called Bulawayo. Though born in Zimbabwe, his country of origin is South Africa, as his parents are from Mzansi.

Dlamini is not the only child of his parents. He has younger siblings who grew up with him. However, their identities are not known, their whereabouts, and professions, and occupations are currently under the radar.

Similarly, the actor hasn’t shared information about his parents and their whereabouts publicly yet. Luthuli spent most of his time between England and Zimbabwe after he left the Southeast African country in the late 1960s.

Not much is known about his life in England. However, he mentioned that he always felt at home whenever he returned to Zimbabwe. He admitted he had fun in England but that he was a foreigner there, which was one of the reasons he decided to return home for good.

The names of the academic institutions Luthuli attended are not open to public scrutiny. However, he got much of his schooling there and did several jobs to support his young family then.

Dlamini’s Love For Acting Dates Back To His Time In England

The actor once mentioned that his love for acting made him leave his job to take part in plays for a couple of hours while in England. Upon his arrival to South Africa, Luthuli became outstanding in the South African entertainment space.

After seventeen years of outstanding performances, he took a leap from the stage to the TV. One of his earliest works is the M-Net sitcom The Coconuts, wherein he played the leading role of Tombo Mbuli from 2008 to 2009. He was cast as one of the actors in the popular South African television series, Generations, on July 4, 2013. He portrayed Scott on the show.

Dlamini also starred as Advocate Zulu on Uzalo from season 1 to season 4. Intersexions and Tephy Pushas are the names of other television series he has also featured in. He played Zakes and Ben Landers in both projects, respectively. Luthuli made his first film appearance in the film, The Lost Future. He played Lars in the 2010 film.

The list of projects he has produced is currently difficult to come by.

Though a successful actor, his career has had its fair of controversies and scandals. Several years ago, Dlamini made headlines after it was reported that he had been fired from Scandal! after he stopped showing up on the filming set.

He was said to have been found in his home after the police were notified of his disappearance. This happened two weeks after Scandal producers showed up at his home but couldn’t find him. So, when the police eventually came looking for him at home, they found him there. Dlamini claimed that he was sick and needed some time to heal.

He was later fired from Scandal. It is also said that he was released from Generations after a similar incident.
