Khoza Death Threats: 2 Reasons BLF Isn’t Interested In Assassinating Her

Khoza Death Threats – Dr Khoza has undoubtedly established herself as one of the ANC (African National Congress) MP who will disobey the party and vote for the removal of President Jacob Zuma in the coming Motion of No Confidence.

She has severally rebuked the leadership of the ANC and Zuma’s government. For recap see here, here, here and here.

For her fearless criticism of Mr Zuma and South Africa’s ruling party, Dr Khoza started receiving death threats. Recently, reports circulated that a telephone number used for some of the death threats belongs to the Black First Land First (BLF) movement.

Reacting to the reports, BLF asserted that the Dr Khoza death threats story is fake and was created by Daily Maverick. To BLF, the story is just a desperate campaign by the white media to tarnish its name.

“(We are) aware that the white media, in its quest to prop up white monopoly capital, has resorted to lying by manufacturing fake news.

The story peddled by the white owned media about BLF’s telephone number being associated with the alleged threats on the life of Dr Makhosi Khoza, is a cheap fabrication,” stated the movement.

With that, the movement highlighted reasons it isn’t interested in assassinating Dr Khoza as insinuated by the circulating reports.

They are as highlighted below:

1. BLF don’t fight or threaten black people

The movement said it has an official policy known as the “BLACK CODE ON HOUSE NIGGERS & SELLOUTS”. According to the party, the BLACK CODE mandated BLF members to defend blacks, even those they don’t agree with.

BLF stressed that it does not and will not fight black people, including those they regard as ‘askaris’.

“This fact is known to the white owned media that continues to play ignorant. In this respect, the white owned media hopes to generate a situation of black on black violence in our country.

“BLF and its members would NEVER make such threats to a black person. We hold high the principle of ‘peace amongst blacks’.

“There is no way that BLF could threaten any black person. We reject with contempt the attempt to link our movement to the phone number through which the calls were ostensibly made.”

2. Dr Khoza is irrelevant, BLF don’t regard her as a political anything

Here, BLF argued that assassinating Khoza wouldn’t be of any use.

“We don’t regard Dr Khoza as a political anything. She is just loud and irrelevant. Moreover, since she is black we won’t, under any circumstances, threaten her,” said the party.

Having said that, BLF urged white owned media to understand what the movement stands for and stop peddling cheap lies.

Afterwards, BLF offered that “a white person or persons” is behind the BLF and Khoza death threats story.

“(We are) under massive attack from white monopoly capital. The media reports…are generated as part of the onslaught on the organization.

“We won’t be deterred. Land must be returned by any means necessary,” BLF declared.
