The sudden loss of the Nelson Mandela Bay to the Democratic Alliance hasn’t gone down well to the ruling party who though have conceded defeat, are aggrieved.
But to the former Congress of South African Trade Unions general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi, ANC’s loss is a sign of the demise of the ruling party in the country.
Vavi who has in several occasion, not minced words in expressing how he disapproves of the leadership of the ANC, took to Twitter in the early hours of Friday with a supposed photo of the Messiah.
“Jesus was seen walking in the streets of Nelson Mandela Bay last night — he is back!” he Twitted while referencing President Zuma’s constant claim during election campaign, that the “ANC will rule until Jesus returns”.
“Deep down my heart I am hurting not celebrating! But I will not knowingly choose any logo above the real interests of workers and SAfrica” Zwelinzima Vavi posted.
Angered by his constant call of the supreme being in his election campaigns, the Western Cape Premier Helen Zille on Wednesday, hit back at Zuma -for criticizing DA’s invocation of Nelson Mandela- saying that Jesus was never an ANC member, just as Mandela was never a DA member.
This time, Zwelinzima Vavi returned with his mockery words to the party saying “Jesus has returned and was “spotted” in Nelson Mandla Bay metro on Thursday night”
