In a determined bid to maintain his title as the fastest man in the world, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has breezed his way to win the men’s 200 metres gold for the third consecutive time on Thursday.
The unbeatable sprinter crossed the line in 19.78 seconds at the Rio Olympic stadium.
Canada’s Andre de Grasse was hot on Bolt’s heels but had to settle for silver. Christophe Lemaitre finished third to claim bronze for France.
Meanwhile, Bolt has already won the Rio 100 metres. To wrap it up, he will go for a third straight sweep of all three sprint golds in the 4×100 metres relay on Friday.

Bolt who is competing in what he has said will be his last Olympics has trademarked his name and his signature “Lightning Bolt” pose. He is so popular that he even has an emoji.
