Wow! Idols SA Winner Musa Sukwene Certified Gold


SA singer Musa Sukwene who won the ninth season of Idols South Africa in 2013 has really proven his worth as an Idols star.

It was revealed this week that the singer’s album Mr Serious has been certified gold.

Musa took to Instagram to celebrate this significant stage in his career attained after selling more than 15 000 copies of the album.

He used the medium to thank all his fans for their “continuous support and love,” acknowledging their role in his success.

In return, friends, fans and even fellow musicians has praised the singer on his latest accomplishment. Their praises are based on the fact that he deserved the success. Musician Vusi Nova wrote “you deserve it ntwana.”

Musa Sukwene recently put heads together with legendary music producer Robbie Malinga to release his latest single, Mthande.

The producer expressed his thoughts to TMG Entertainment about how honoured he was to work with Musa.

“I have been fortunate to work with the best at home and Musa fits well into that criteria of good musicians. He is one talented singer that knows what he is doing. For me, it’s not about music. It’s about spirit. It’s about soul. It’s not about just making a song.

We need to feel each other and meet each other in spirit. That’s my secret. I need to know everything about you and what makes you who you are for it to be a hit,” Robbie says.

The talented 26-year-old Musa Sukwene made history when he was crowned the winner of the 2013 South African Idols. He beat his fellow finalist Breden Ledwaba with about a thousand votes.
