Without Malema’s picture, many of us can guess right the source of the headline statement. I bet we all can. Such statements are not dissimilar to those the EFF uses every other time to push forward the frontiers of their fight for the “much-needed” economic freedom. According to a publication on the party’s web site, our home affairs minister has been using State resources to sponsor his philandering and promiscuous lifestyle.
And, you don’t have to worry about that – the EFF explicitly stated that the Minister will pay for his misdeeds as they (EFF) will employ “all relevant authorities to request for a thorough investigations of a Minister who uses State resources for marital infidelity and money laundering.”
The publication titled; “EFF statement on Malusi Gigaba’s usage of state resources to commit adultery and infidelity” stated in its first paragraph that “the EFF notes the reports about the philandering ways of Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba. We do not care much about the Minister’s affairs and infidelity because he is renowned for using government’s credit card and money to buy flowers for girlfriends, breaking people’s families and engaging in unacceptable extra-marital practices.”
The statement however, related that the Economic Freedom Fighters is “concerned that in doing and practicing his personal affairs, Malusi Gigaba uses resources of the State, reportedly transferring money in excess of R700 000.”
“If the reports about his infidelity and money transfers are true,” the statement reads, “it means that Malusi is involved in money laundering and even involves State Security officials to facilitate what is patently illegal money movements.” The party as such vowed in the last paragraph of its statement to “write to State Security department, SARS, and all relevant authorities to request for a thorough investigations of a Minister who uses State resources for marital infidelity and money laundering.”
The EFF’s said they will not be mute when public servants abuse their positions, misuse the State resources, and disrespects the offices they’re were appointed to handle.
“We will not keep quite when philandering Ministers abuse their positions. We will also call for an investigation into allegations of offshore accounts the minister holds. These offshore accounts are possibly explain his constant overseas trips because he can only spend money in these accounts abroad. State institutions and resources must be respected.”
