Actress Hlubi Mboya Joins Second Season Of It’s Complicated


Actress Hlubi Mboya has confirmed that she joined the cast of Mzansi Magic’s hit drama series‚ “It’s Complicated” season 2.

 According to the details provided by the actress, she will be taking on the role of a medical surgeon in the drama series.

Hlubi shared the good new on Instagram recently‚ followed by behind-the-scenes snap of herself in character.

“#ITSCOMPLICATED2 . Rough day in the office. I am #SurgeonMoloi…” she wrote alongside the photo.

Accordingly, she wrote another post; “Every Next Level Of Your Life‚ Will Demand A Different You…#ITSCOMPLICATED2‚” alongside a snap of herself and the show’s directors.

Meanwhile, Fikile Mthwalo-Kani‚ who plays Ipeleng, a troubled girlfriend on the show‚ teased that she will be returning to her role for the second season.

The first season of the series boasted a star-studded line-up. Stars like Siybonga Radebe; Samela Tyelbooi; Motlatsi Mafatshe; Atandwa Kani and Thishiwe Ziqubu captivated the viewers.

The plot centered on the complex nature of modern-day relationships, especially in marriage‚ family‚ friendship‚ loyalty and gender dynamics.

Hlubi Mboya is a South African seasoned actress and AIDS ambassador. She is best known for her role as Nandipha Sithole on the SABC3 soapie Isidingo.

However, she took over the role of Nandipha Sithole on the show from Manaka Ranaka who got fired after seven months in the role. Apparently, Ranaka was pregnant and the producers couldn’t find a way to go around it.

Playing the role of HIV-positive Nandipha, paved the way for Hlubi to travel around Africa. She has gone to places such as Tanzania and Zambia as an ambassador for HIV/AIDS.

She is also a professional dancer and was one of the celebrity contestants on the fifth season of the SABC2 reality dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.
