Confirmed! DJ Glen Lewis Ditches Metro FM For Touch HD

After a successful career spanning more than two decades with the radio station, DJ Glen Lewis has reportedly left Metro FM for Touch HD.

The radio DJ is leaving Metro FM to join his former colleague Tbo Touch at his new online radio station Touch HD.

The migration was confirmed by Touch HD spokesperson Lulu Ndevu who said that both Glen Lewis and Tim Modise joined the station. The station aims at getting the best in the business on board.

In the bid to create a bigger and better online listening experience for his audience, radio mogul Tbo Touch threw in R28 million to relaunch his online radio station Touch Central under a new name – Touch HD. This is all in the bid to make major changes to its line-up and mode of operation.

Henceforth, Glen will host the morning show on Touch HD, with Tbo Touch taking over the afternoon drive show, as reported by TimesLive.

Meanwhile, Glen’s departure from the broadcaster may have been as a result of the imminent reshuffling at the station. There were reports that Metro FM is in the process of switching presenters in what has been called its biggest shuffle in its history.

Apparently, most of the affected staff were not happy about it, as it will separate best friends. Besides, some might be paired with people they don’t really get along with.

According to emerging reports, Somizi who presents Whose Show Is It Anyway, with Khanyi Mbau and Ntombi Ngcobo-Mzolo, may be moved to Glen Lewis’ The First Avenue breakfast show.

Again, Unathi Msengana would reportedly be moved from The First Avenue to join Mbau and Ngcobo-Mzolo which may turn out to be a disaster. The problem with this shuffle, according to the sources, is that Mbau and Msengana actually pretend to like each other.
