An Overview Of What We Saw On Generations: The Legacy In August
The show began in August 2021 with Tracy lying to spite her ex while Kabisi did not disclose that he was not feeling well. Other key highlights were Tshidi witnessing a ritual that horrifies her as the Diales worry about Mbali only to be shocked by her test results. Another big deal was the Moroka Media’s big scoop and the shivers it sent down Tracy’s spine. There is no forgetting Lucy deliberately frightening her daughter and also Nontle’s outbursts being caught on camera.
Zondiwe letting Pele’s cats out of the bag was also a big one, and the story could not get more intriguing when Ayanda discovered that her relationship with her man was indeed crowded while Mbali made unexpected discoveries. So far, the episodes in August have been great, and one cannot wait for what September would bring.

The TV Show Began In 1993 As Generations
Generations: The Legacy began in 1993 as Generations. After series of face-offs between the cast and management, its filming was halted, but it bounced back as Generations: The Legacy in 2014. The show airs from Monday to Friday on SABC1 at 20:00 hours and runs for 30 minutes. It is created and produced by Mfundi Vundla.
Other members of the production team are Karen Vundla, Human Stark, and Costas Gavriel. Generations: The Legacy is scripted by Dorotte Nel, Tanya Tiedjie, Karen Vundla, Ruth Mahlodi, Ruth Moahlodi, and S’thembile Mnisi.
The show is filmed in South Africa, which is a great choice as the show is created to reflect the dreams, hopes, and aspirations of South Africans regarding the future of their country. Filming of future episodes has come to a halt at the moment, as a member of the team tested positive to COVID-19, forcing the entire crew to self-isolate.
Generation: The Legacy mirrors the life of an average South African who dreams of and believes in a better Mzansi, where natives can have their dream jobs and live the lives they aspire to.
