Inside Kabelo Mabalane’s Family With Wife Gail Mabalane

Kabelo Mabalane is married to Gail Nkoane Mabalane, a South African actress, model, singer, and businesswoman. Their marriage has produced two children – a beautiful girl and boy named Zoe Leano Mabalane and Khumo Kabelo.

The kwaito musician, a member of the group TKZee, and his wife, who most recently starred in Mzansi Magic’s The Road, have been married for 11 years and the union between the power couple is standing the test of time and inspires many people, especially the younger generation.

Kabelo Mabalane and Gail Mabalane Have Been Married Since 2013

Kabelo Malabane and Gail Mabalane first met at the former’s home cell, where various people in the entertainment meet weekly to encourage one another. Gail was invited to Kabelo’s home cell by one of her friends. At first, she was reluctant to honor the invitation because she was already a member of another group, but she later went, and there she met and exchanged numbers with Kabelo.

He would ask her on a date, and the rest was history. The pair sealed their love for each other in a private ceremony held on February 9, 2013. The occasion was attended by their families and a couple of prominent people in the entertainment industry.

At the time of their marriage, the two weren’t as popular as they are now. It’s been eight years and counting, and the two are still going strong. There are no signs they are leaving each other’s side any time soon.

Kabelo Mabalane’s Wife Is As Successful As Her Husband

Born Gail Tsholofelo Nkoane, Kabelo’s wife hails from Kimberley, Northern Cape. She was welcomed into the world on December 27, 1984, as the second child of her family. She has older and younger siblings. Gails does so many things for a living – she is an actress, model, businesswoman, singer, philanthropist, and socialite. She stormed the industry in 2010 and has worked on numerous projects.

As a model, she emerged as one of the top 5 at Miss SA Teen Finalist in 2005. Five years later, she auditioned for and became a Top 10 Finalist on the 6th Season on Idols South Africa but was eliminated later. Her journey as a model began at the age of five when her mother entered her into her debut pageant, “Miss Tinkerbell.”

Gail is a great actress. Some of her notable works are Blood & Water, The Road (2015), The Wild (2011 – 2013), and The Imposter (2018). In 2015, she scored a minor role (Sarah Westbrook) in the popular South African soap opera, Generations: The Legacy. Connie Ferguson is one of the top-earning South African celebrity entertainers she has worked with.

Both Gail and Kabelo are successful in their own right. Like his wife, Kabelo’s name rings a bell in the entertainment industry. He is a respected kwaito musician, songwriter, actor, and pastor. Kabelo or Bouga Luv, as he is professionally known, has been a judge on SA Got Talent for the past two seasons. He has equally opened shows for legendary artists, such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, and 50 Cent.

Born December 15, 1976, the 54-year-old multi-hyphenate also co-owns the South African independent music company Faith Records. He has collaborated with notable brands, written a book titled: I Ran For My Life, and won several awards, including a South African Music Award and SAB Sports Journalist of the Year Awards for Best Newcomer Television Presenter and in Best Newcomer Overall.

Kabelo has nine solo albums to his name, and they include the following:

The Kabelo Mabalane And Gail Are Blessed With Two Beautiful Kids

Kabelo and his beautiful wife share two children – a beautiful girl and a boy. Their first offspring, Zoe Leano Mabalane, was born on 25th March 2015, while their youngest child, Khumo Kabelo, was born in 2019.

Not much is known about the couple’s kids because their parents are overly protective of them. The pregnancy announcement and subsequent birth of their son Khumo were met with great excitement by their fans. Khumo brought so much joy in the lives of his parents because, according to the actress, God gave them Khumo at his own time and when they needed him.

The Couple Has Had Their Fair Share Of Criticism From Internet Trolls

Celebrity trolling is common on spaces like social media platforms. While some say it’s the price of being a celebrity, others consider it disrespectful and a major reason some celebrities do not share sensitive information about their personal lives with their fans.

Sometime in August 2020, the “Blood & Water” star was dragged on social media after she shared a picture of herself in a bikini on Instagram. While the likes of “Idols SA” judge Unathi Nkayi, Miss South Africa Sasha-Lee Laurel, and actress Simphiwe Ngema commented nicely on her page, others deemed her attire inappropriate.

One Instagram user frowned at her dressing and reminded her that many young people look up to her. Another user bluntly asked her to treat her body as the temple, considering that her husband is a pastor.

In response, the actress asked when wearing a bikini has become a sin while her husband defended his wife, stating that he saw nothing in what his wife wore, saying:

“This is exactly the kind of piety that makes the world not want what we have. It’s just a pic of my wife looking amazing in a swimsuit; relax, Jesus is still on the throne.”

Apart from the bikini brouhaha, the couple has not had any known issues with anyone. They have not also been involved in any form of scandal or drama.
