Bokang Montjane (born 30th April 1986) is a 38 year-old South African model famous as Miss South Africa 2010. She is also the wife of Siphiwe Tshabalala, the popular South African football player who has played for the SA national team and clubs like Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu.

Bokang Montjane Was Already At The Top Of Her Career Before Becoming Siphiwe Tshabalala’s Wife
Although Bokang Montjane totally promotes the family unit, she had already built a name for herself before becoming the wife of Siphiwe Tshabalala. She was born on the 30th of April 1986 in Limpopo, formerly known as Ga-Mphahlele in Transvaal, where she was also raised.
Montjane started her career as a beauty queen as far as 2007 and finally landed the title of Miss South Africa in the 2010 beauty pageant, which happens to be what we all know her for. The truth is, the model was already at the top of her career before becoming Siphiwe Tshabalala’s girlfriend – and eventual wife. But over the years, she has built a personality for herself as a perfect blend of a career woman, wife, and mother, which makes her a role model to so many young women out there.
On the other hand, Siphiwe Tshabalala was also a successful footballer who played for Kaizer Chiefs when they met. Together, they have started their own business, launched a book, and served as an example of how the relationship between a man and his wife should be. Without being told, we should know that the 40-year-old footballer is proud of the woman who bears his name as her surname.
Bokang Montjane and Siphiwe Tshabalala Met at a Radio Station
Bokang Montjane and her husband, Siphiwe Tshabalala, fall into celebrities who keep their private life really private. So while you may follow either of them on social media and like all of their posts, you still won’t know what exactly is happening in their private life. This is why everyone was really excited when Bokang Montjane finally revealed how she met her husband.
In an interview with Khanyi Mbau during the talk show Katch It with Khanyi, she said she met the footballer at a radio station, ‘Khaya FM,’ where they both took pictures, and she left. Siphiwe had already picked interest in her and asked for her contact details from people working in the radio station, and they gave it to him. You can obviously tell that he connected with her after their first meeting.
Sadly, Bokang did not tell the story any further, so information about the exact time they started dating is unknown. However, they have been together for a long time, and it is estimated that they started dating around 2012. Tshabalala was once involved in a love scandal with a lady called Zanele Khanye, who was not sure whether or not he was the father of her child. It is not clear if this happened before he started dating Bokang Montjane or afterward.
Bokang Montjane Had Her First Child Before The News Of Their Marriage Was Made Public
In their usual manner of keeping their relationship discrete, Bokang and her husband did not openly talk about the pregnancy of their first child, Owethu, who was born on the 6th of February 2015, until she was almost due for delivery. Thankfully, when Siphiwe Tshabalala finally posted a picture of his pregnant wife on Instagram, he did it alongside the gender reveal of their son, who is currently 9 years old.
Bokang said she and Siphiwe Tshabalala agreed to have a child in a magazine publication because they felt they were ready for it. Also, children are indeed a blessing, and for someone who felt she was blessed with her career, she had received a better kind of a blessing in the person of her firstborn child.
Bokang Montjane And Siphiwe Tshabalala Had A Private Wedding
A year after we had gotten over the amazing news of her childbirth, Bokang made our jaws drop again when she posted a picture of herself with a very long caption that only fans who had time to read would uncover the bombshell she had just dropped. On her 30th birthday, she posted a very stunning picture of herself; in the caption, she wrote a long epistle of what her life had been and how grateful she was about her son and Siphiwe. Now all of that was not surprising except the fact that she referred to him as her husband.
As though that was not enough, while bidding goodbye to her 20s, after saying a lot of things, she said she had become a wife, and nobody saw that coming. Although there had been rumors that they engaged, they never confirmed it.
The Couple Welcomed Their Child Number Two In 2020
Two years after the birth of their first son, Bokang Montjaneb said they were not praying to have another child yet. She, however, admitted that Siphiwe wanted one and said she hoped when it eventually happens, it would be a girl child.
Three years after, in 2020, to be precise, she posted a picture of her pregnant self and her husband on his 36th birthday with her usually heartwarming and long caption that was absolutely worth reading. While celebrating with her husband, she also broke the news that she was now the mother of a princess.
Before that picture, she had never raised any dust on social media about expecting a child. Her daughter, who she refers to as Kgoshigadi, is indeed a bundle of joy to her as she keeps gushing over her on social media.
Siphiwe Tshabalala’s Wife Has Had A Successful Modeling Career
The 5 feet 9 inches tall one-time Miss South Africa has had a very successful modeling career. In 2007, she competed in Miss Earth 2007 in Quezon City. Although she did not win the crown, she came out as one of the top 16 semifinalists and earned a Beauty for Cause Award. In 2009, she went to compete for Miss International but did not win as well.
In 2010, she emerged as one of the top 12 finalists of the Miss South Africa competition, and finally, on the 12th of December 2010, she was crowned as the winner. She represented South Africa in Miss Universe and Miss World beauty pageants – both in 2011. Although she was unplaced in the Miss Universe pageantry, she came out as one of the top 7 contestants for Miss World.
Bokang Montjane is no longer actively involved in modeling. However, she was one of the semi-finalist judges for Miss South Africa 2020 and is currently the director for Miss Universe Africa, an initiative to give a voice to married, widowed, and divorced women.
