DJ Black Coffee Wins Big Again!


South African multi-award winning DJ Black Coffee wins again as his hot award-winning streak continues.

At the 2016 International DJ Awards in Ibiza on Monday night, Black coffee walked away with the prestigious Best Deep House DJ award.

Apparently, the DJ did not just stumble onto the award and he sure didn’t get it on a platter of gold. In fact, he slayed through stiff competition to clinch the award.

DJ Black was up against other hot DJs including &Me; Adam Port; Andhim; Blond:ish; Catz ‘N Dogz; Dixon; Duke Dumont; MK and Sonny Fodera.

The international awards ceremony held inIbiza annually, exclusively celebrates DJs. However, Black Coffee was not present at the ceremony to accept his award. Nevertheless, he shared his excitement through his acceptance speech on the social media.

“Woke up a winner of the 2016 Deep House DJ from last night’s DJ Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted.”

Black Coffee’s latest accolade comes a year after he won himself two prizes at the 2015 edition of the awards, in the Breakthrough and Dance Nation categories.

In addition, following the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles earlier this year, Black Coffee became the first South African artist to walk away with a BET Award in the category: ‘Best International Act – Africa’. This was part of the recognition awards at the 2016 BET Africa.

Again, the race was definitely not an easy one as Black Coffee crushed out other superstars like AKA‚ Cassper Nyovest‚ Diamond Platnumz‚MzVee‚ Serge Beynaud‚ Wizkid and Yemi Alade to win the BET trophy. Thus, Fans and fellow artists welcomed the great news with much excitement.
