Comedian Loyiso Gola Hits Back At Trolls

Apparently, the comedian has not developed the sort of thick skin that allows him to remain composed in the face of social media criticisms.

Therefore, two Twitter users who took aim at him felt the scorching heat of his venom. Responding to the critics who recently wrote that they don’t find him funny, Loyiso said;

“It’s funny when I get trolled by 20-year-olds.”

“When I was 20 I was a TV writer and touring and sending money home. SO F*** YOUR OPINION.”

Similarly, in August, while the country celebrated our Olympians who made us proud in Rio Games 2016, the comedian was caught in the middle of a social media storm following a joke he made about Caster Semenya. Now, Caster is SA’s favourite athlete and no one messes with her and goes scot free.

Comedian Loyiso Gola Tweeted;

“Some of you took a break from witch crafting to watch Caster. She really did unite the nation. Fly safe back to Limpopo.”

Consequently, Twitter went on the attack questioning why he even saw himself as funny.

Shortly after the backlash, he took to social media to prove to his haters that he’s actually good at what he does. Thus, the response;

After outrunning her opponents in the final of the 800m at the Rio Olympics, she didn’t just win gold, but also won the people’s hearts.

However, Semenya’s case of hyperandrogenism sparked off some controversy during the Rio games. The 25-year-old South African was born with her testosterone levels higher than that of the average woman.

As a result, she is perceived to have a good amount of physical advantage over her counterparts. Consequently, she was always under close watch and prone to criticism from those who thought she shouldn’t contest with women.

For this reason, South Africans rallied around her, ready to tackle any derogatory comment directed to her. Loyiso Gola was unfortunate to fall into their trap.
