The much-anticipated Cassper’s new album Thuto is ready to drop like it’s hot and the rapper is celebrating its release with a glitzy party this weekend.
Thuto will be his third studio album following his successful debut album Tsholofelo which was released in 2014 and Refiloe in 2015. The rappers’s first two albums went double platinum.
The multi-award winning rapper who was seen with American R&B singer Goapele in the studio recently is reportedly featuring her in the new album. Goapele who grew up in South Africa, became famous in the US after dropping her single, Closer.
In addition to the international act, Cassper’s new album also has local stars like Riky Rick, Nadia Nakai and the legendary Tshepo Tshola on it.
The release date for the album is May 7 and of course, the rapper is very excited about it.

His fans are not left out in the excitement as they can’t wait to get their hands on what the rapper described as his best piece ever.
Cassper’s single Tito Mboweni which is a part of the Thuto album was well received when it was released in March. Though the audio didn’t get much love from the public, when Tito Mboweni’s music video dropped, it literally shut down the speculation that it would be a total waste of time and money.
Notwithstanding the rumours going round about the failure of the track, the music video was a hit with fans. In fact, within a few days of its release, a milestone was already celebrated.
Taking to Twitter a few days after the release, the rapper announced that the video had reached 600 000 views on YouTube just four days after dropping.
Consequently, even fellow rapper, iFani rated the video with a thumbs up. Notably, iFani had predicted that the visuals for the track will be trash just like the audio. However, he had to swallow his pride alongside the humble pie after watching the video.
Hopefully, the release of Cassper’s new album will receive more love.
