World Economic Forum: Bonang Matheba To Speak For The African Girl Child

World Economic Forum: Media personality Bonang Matheba has a star that keeps shining and we admire her for that.

Taking to her Twitter handle on Wednesday, B announced that she is set to be a panellist and moderator at the World Economic Forum taking place in Durban ICC.

B will be speaking on the importance of educating the African girl child at the forum which will hold on May 5, 2017. She’ll be speaking on behalf of ONE Campaign.

Notably, Bonang is already an advocate for educating the girl child, thanks to her bursary fund.

This year’s campaign titled The Making or Breaking point for Africa will discuss key points like why: Youth Education, Employment and Empowerment Investments matter today.



Most importantly, the fight to keep the girl child in school and for them to be awarded the same opportunities as the boys will also come up.

“This topic is very close to my heart, as you know The Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund has taken 10 beautiful young ladies in the spirit to fight the irregularities and unfairness of this world. It is absolutely bizarre that 130 million girls are out of school just because they are girls! We have joined forces and will make things right 1 or 10 girls at a time,” says Bonang.

Indeed, Bonang Matheba has dedicated her career to making the dream of education come true for the Africa girl child.

Bonang’s  speech at the World Economic Forum comes up on Friday at 10:00.
