Boity, whose full birth name is Boitumelo Thulo, was born on the 28th of April, 1990 in Potchefstroom, North West Province of South Africa. Details of her parents are not known, specifically the identity of her father who she had a distant relationship with. Her mother on the other hands has been identified as Modiegi Thulo.
The young girl was at the end raised by her maternal grandmother in the same city of her birth. It was here that she attended primary school before completing her secondary school education at Potchefstroom Girls High.
Boity had a huge interest in sports, particularly athletics, a sport which she participated in all through her primary and secondary school days. She was also known for her participation in her school’s drum majorettes (drummies) team.
Following her matriculation, Boity Thulo went on to study Psychology and Criminology at Johannesburg’s Monash University. Due to low funds, however, she was unable to complete her education as she dropped out in her second year. She was left with little option of what to do next so she decided to try her hand at a career in the entertainment world. With beauty that was evident for anyone to see, Boity’s first step was to sign on to a casting agency which helped her land a role in a 2010 commercial for fast-food chain Wimpy.
With an appearance in a commercial under her belt, Boity Thulo moved to launch a full-time TV career. She began by first guest-starring on the e.tv drama 4play: Sex Tips For Girls where she appeared as Lindi in 2010. The following year, she got her breakthrough as she began presenting the YOTV educational show Crib Notes and also co-presented SABC 1’s The Media Career Guide Show.
In 2012, Boity served as the co-host of a short-lived interactive multi-platform user-generated show on SABC 1 titled Zoned. Does She Have a Boyfriend?
Once upon a time, Boity Thulo and SA rapper Cassper Nyovest were the most talked about couple in the country. The pair, who began dating in 2015, appeared to be head over heels in love with each other as Casper would openly profess his love for her while she also went as far as saying in an interview that if he proposed, she would most definitely say yes. Reports went on to indicate that the pair were engaged, however, as things would pan out, they ended up calling it quits by the end of the year.
Following that relationship, the model reportedly moved on to date a few other people, including rapper Trinity King and Congolese basketball player Christian Eyenga among a few others but none of those relationships lasted. Around this same time, Boity sent the rumor mill spinning when she shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “Beautiful journey ahead, thank you, Father God, for trusting me with this tremendous gift.” The public and gossip columns interpreted this to be a pregnancy announcement, however, that did not end up being the case.
In 2017, reports began to surface that Boity Thulo had found love again. In an interview with DRUM magazine, the model and tv personality admitted to being in a relationship but however refused to reveal the identity of the person she was seeing. With a keen eye on her by the media and those interested, the person was later discovered to be Nigerian filmmaker and music video director Stanley Obiamalu.
It is not clear if the pair are still together today as recent reports in mid-2019 speculated that Boity was back to being single.
