Bafana Bafana Maintains High Spirits In Mozambique Despite Coach’s Suspension

If you’re worried the suspension of Bafana Bafana’s Head Coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba, would hamper the positive team spirit that enabled them crush Senegal, you’ve got to hold your peace.

Reports have it that the team maintained its boisterous mood after they arrived Mozambique, and are set to clash with Mozambican for the friendly international at Maputo.

As Shakes did not travel with the team following his suspension, Assistant coach Owen da Gama will be in charge of the team for the Tuesday, 15 November match.

SAFA refused to buttress on the issues surrounding the suspension of the Head Coach.

“..The Association will not be making any further comments on this matter out of respect for the dignity of the Head Coach and the Association…” it simply stated.

However, it’s been speculated that the 66-year-old Head Coach argued with and even insulted officials from the national body.
