Following a highly contested finale which saw talented acts pulling all the stops to impress the judges as well as the public to get their votes on Sunday, the remarkable acapella group scooped the title.

Following hot on the heels of Anecnote is Art Of Dance, winning R50 000 while the traditional Zulu dance group – Amazebra took the third position with a prize of R20 000 courtesy of Samsung.

One of the members of the winning group said it still feels like a dream. “We’re all in a state of shock and I don’t think it has quite sunken in yet. At the same time, we’re so excited about the result and want to work super hard to keep the dream alive,” Kevin Smuts said.
Aside from the SA’s Got Talent winners, this year’s acts were made up of vibrant talented individuals who put their best in the competition.
MD of e.tv, Marlon Davids is overly excited about the amount of talent that featured on show this year. “We cannot thank all the acts that auditioned to showcase their talent. e.tv is thrilled to have unearthed so many great acts this year and we are proud of Anecnote for winning the competition,” says Davids.
The SA’s Got Talent 2017 competition was arguably one of the most contested, especially at the finales. While the top six finalists gave some of the best performances we’ve ever seen, the battle finally came down to the top three: AnecNote, Art of Dance and Ama-Zebra.
Congratulations to all the winners.
