South African entrepreneur and actress Lusanda Mbane has joined the cast of popular e.tv soapie, Scandal.
The creators of the soapie announced Lusanda’s appointment for a spot on the show in a statement on Friday.
According to the actress, she has been shooting with the cast for several weeks already. In fact, viewers are informed to look out for her on the show this evening as she makes her first appearance.
Lusanda will play the role of Boniswa, the wife of Kingsley (Hlomla Dandala), who comes, oblivious of her husband’s past with Yvonne (Kgomotso Christopher).

Meanwhile, both Hlomla and Kgomotso have recently joined the show and they have already won the hearts of fans. Hopefully, Lusanda will also find her way to the hearts of fans as well.
Lusanda Mbane is best known for her role as Naomi Malotana on SABC 1’s Generations from 2010-2011. She previously played a short role as Advocate Macheke on the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, in 2009.
However, her Generations gig was her first major television role. She was able to secure the role after contacting a producer on the show and auditioning for him.
After Generations, she also played the role of Joyce in the eleventh season of the SABC1 AIDS drama series Soul City.
The same year, she landed the starring role of Zodwa, in the SABC1 sitcom Abo Mzala. The role was that of a domestic worker who had come to terms with the fact that she’ll never find the man of her dreams.
Aside her drama roles, she also played the lead role for some brands’ TV advertising campaigns. Between May 2012 and February 2013 she has worked with the following brands: Knorrox; Kellogg’s (Chocos); Brand Power (Ponds); Rama; Milo and Dettol.
